Big Plans For Someone Who Hasn't Run For A Month

It seems that when I got a lift home from the Great Nosh I accidentally picked up Mister G's injured Achilles by mistake. I can say at this point I don't want it any more. This combined with many other convenient excuses means that my training for the past 3 weeks basically follows the same basic pattern. From memory trying to list all session covered in three weeks it goes something like

Monday
Nothing

Tuesday
Nothing (though one Tuesday I did something and it hurt me again)

Wednesday
Nothing

Thursday
Nothing

Friday
Nothing (once managed to get out Mt Biking with Gnomes in lead up to their All Schools event)

Saturday
The weekend, so nothing

Sunday
Last day to get in some final training, and nothing

What do you do with all this time? Every time exercise has been attempted it has only lead to pain again. To the extent I have even booked in to contribute to the Simon Superannuation fund again this week. Why not plan ridiculous events that will probably injure you again from over training (interesting term given current fatness).

So here are the beginning stages of the first 'planned' BMMC event. The BWL run, three men, three days, three stages:
  • When, October long weekend
  • Who, anyone who wants to join me in a run across the Mountain.
  • What, Three 'shorter' ultras in three days. A stage (race) if you like with times accumulating over the three days running
  • The course, has been mapped and now sits to the right of you in this blog. At this point stages one-Blaxland and stage two-Wentworth have been mapped. Stage three-Lawson is still being discussed with Mister G. Original plan to finish with 6ft, though Mister G correctly points out BWL didn't actually go anywhere near Jenolan Caves in their journey and I want to stay on trails so discussion still to be had.
  • Extra Bits, if anyone knows where I can get a polka-dot head band from please let me know.

So don't sit back and just talk about it (because no one just talks about it as well as I) jump in and join me (us). See You all at Euroka Clearing 9am on the first day of the October long weekend.

Scams Current Status Summed Up In Classic Song

It seems running 45kms the first weekend back from 3 weeks off with rib injury was not the thing to do. However great Nosh is now on my must do list each year. Particularly if they can promise mud and puddles like that every year. Lookout GPB.

So with inflamed achilles it is with great despair that I present the current status of scambullant in song:

(I tried to embed it in the Blog but my technological patients let me down)
