Logging Some K's

Post Fiji trip and veiwing of Port Ironman 2010 I have finally, after my first statement of intent in 1992, entered Ironman Australia 2011. Im happy with the timing having no fear of the event or training, just a healthy respect of the efforts it will take in the months leading up. I hope the years of various endurance based events, including some monumental melt downs through lack of serious preperation, will see the end result being a sub 10:30. Only time will tell if I have learnt enough from the past to get there.

In terms of the Blog, it gives me new meaning to log the training. An incentive to be vigilant in the recording of training for post event reflection. So lets see if I cant remain consistant in training and the recording of it. The real preperations are some months off. However the next few months will be important in building a base.

The plan for next week, to be confirmed on completion:

Monday
AM     Run, cruising the Coastal Track as a recce for Gnomes end of term trek.
PM     Swim, might be pushing it with SWMBO having spent all day out running (a flexible session)

Tuesday
AM     Run, Sleep Trains circuit
PM     Run, Knapsack for 30-40mins to double the day

Wednesday
AM     Swim, the Woods on the Animals drill program
PM     Cycle, see whos out to join in

Thursday
AM     Run, Basic Hill circiut
PM     Cycle, maybe even ride to work and home via Hawsburry

Friday
AM     Swim, the Woods on Animals drill program
PM     Mt Biking with the Gnomes

Saturday
AM     Run, long and on trails some where
PM     Swim, the woods

Sunday
AM     Cycle, as long as time permitts with CHS rugby at Pittwater today

Will see how it goes, should add some minutes to the work based Premiers sporting challenge after a very slow start over past 2 weeks. and now this week for Genevieve:
