My horses name is patients

Haven't even bothered to finish blogging last weeks training as the week represented yet another low in the mental games that are convincing myself to get out and train some weeks. Games I have been playing for far to long now to still have no idea what the triggers are that wipe me out for a week here and there. Just get caught up in my own self pity I think and need to find a way to break the cycle as soon as the signs appear.

At least currently I seem to have found consistency in being able to snap it off on a new week. So with that in mind and realising that as important as last week should have been in my preparations for 6ft. It is back onto my horse named patients and make the most of the time left to me.

Used the weekend to snap the mental games and clocked in a very hot 1hr 5mins from home down round Espresso Run and home again via the false finish and usual exit. Backed it up with my first swim since dislocating three ribs last Easter. Knocked over 2kms back had the pains of watching She Who Must Be Obeyed lap past me two lanes across (you know in the lane marked "fast").

Monday 22nd February
AM broke the poor cycle of missed training last week with a lap of the home trail in around 32mins 26secs. Felt quite cool initially but plenty of humidity had me feeling it despite the short nature of this run by the end.

PM Onto the MonRun for its second week in 2010 with two of the younger gnomes. Found myself with the job of chief encourager for these two as they joalked their way along the trail to the turn around and back. 36mins with plenty of lets run to the seat and then walk to the tree then run down the hill to the shade etc. Jumped in the car and drove up to Knapsack for a lap of Espresso Run following this and felt good to cruise around in 28min ##secs. A good day back into it Will aim to double every week day with a longish one on Sat before beginning the tapper over the following two weeks.

Tuesday 23rd February
AM from the round house on Railway. Lap of two hills loop or Sleep Trains Run as the case may be. Super humid so the viscosity must be the reason WES was late. Being the extra effort needed to move through such dense atmosphere. Terry and Dr Phil also there. a more relaxed 1hr 1min for the circuit this week.

PM back to the track. Clocked up the 24 400's session again on the 2min 30sec cycle. Hitting them all between 1min 34sec and 1min 30sec today. After 6ft will need to look at starting to add 10 mins a week or 4 extra 400's to start building this session up.

Wednesday 24th February
AM from the Lucasville Resort out Lapstone way then back past the brooke and round the back entrance to Blaxland. A 5min stop at Quix for the runner gut issues that arose in one of us and back down the highway for a little look at me I'm running action. Total time 1hr 4mins 21secs.

PM got up to an old run from the schooling days this afternoon. Joined PJ Sparkles from his temp abode for this construction period following the Winmalee cycleway to St Columbas Driveway. Down drive hard right prior to the Stonework and follow the trail back to the Garden Center. A whip around Muru's rolling hills and back down Bunnal to the temporary residence. great to be back on a run that I haven't done since 1992. 30mins 27secs (Should note a lack of the Buena Vista-Singles Ridge climb from original course makes this a much more pleasant task)
